Could someone have a quick squint at this Wehrmacht-Heer buckle for me and which I have posted on behalf of the owner.

The chap who owns the buckle has been told by another forum that it is possibly a fake ?

Ben is certainly the Heer guy to ask! My thoughts: nothing wrong with this one. It's a very rare left facing Heer buckle. These are not the easiest to find and command high prices...probably the highest for any Heer buckle.
I don't see anything wrong with this piece!!

    Cheers!

    David,

I agree with Rob. In fact this buckle appeared on another Forum asking the same question and started some active comments including one guy that insisted this was a bad buckle. It is absolutely good and to my knowledge this pattern has not yet been faked.

    Regards,

    Bill

I like the buckle. I don't think I have ever come across one of these that I thought was a repo.

Thankyou for the confirmation chaps. I am sure that the owner of this buckle will be jolly pleased that it is an original example, although having said that and as Kirby mentioned, perhaps it is as yet not faked.

    David
