WH Belt Buckle - what period?

Please take a look at this belt buckle. What period is it from? The mark is not very clear . Thanks for your help. JMM

It looks like the maker mark for Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid (FLL in a cloverleaf pattern). Unfortunately, without reading the date stamp, I am unable to tell when it was made. Perhaps a more knowledgeable person will be able to provide that information.

Take a look at this thread, find the post for FLL. You will see that the date is not stamped on the buckle itself, but would be on the leather tab that used to be on the buckle.

Thanks for the thread. For sure FLL maker mark as you first said. About the year I guess it'll be difficult once it is not on the buckle. Thank you for your help

You know the maker now year could be 36-39
