Markus,
aluminium Heer buckles with a lot of paint are always very nice to look at, as is yours.
But the absolutely perfect paint on obverse makes me wonder if it will fit to the reverse! The reverse shows clear traces of wear as well as the leather tongue.
What do you think?
Best,
Guido
Hello Here is a 1938 H.Arld it does have the H.A. under the bar. I can take a shot if needed. Is the eagle the same on both buckles, they seem different. Kirby
Hi Guys, Guido is right in fact if you look at all three buckles every one is a different buckle! having a good look at yours Markus the wear on the tab is not consistent with the paint, So which is the real H Arld buckle please stand up!!!! Just to add to this I will now show you pics of another aluminium H Arld buckle which I always thought was a Seiper buckle but it had no Seiper markings which is unusual but the tab and buckle belong togther

Now compare the above buckle I have posted to the HA marked one, same buckle/maker/die?
Ben
Here is a steel example, this to me is interesting in that this one compares to Kirbys example in the shape of the eagles head and angle of the shoulders, this is one way that I spot a steel H Arld straight away

Also gents to throw in the mix a late war H Arld
