Hi, they are both nice original items.

Heer (Army) belt and buckle with a Kriegsmarine (Navy) Minesweepers war badge.

    Cheers, Ade.

A lot of veterans would attach badges/medals to belts, and then bring them home as trophies.

    thanks guys.
what kind of insurance should I get for this?
what would it go for in auction?
Don't want to sell it but good to know it's value.
    Thanks

Insurance always needs to be a bit higher than retail value.

Here in the UK, I would say £300, not sure of values in NZ.

    Cheers, Ade.

Those pins look as if they were made for belts ! A great fit!

Yeah, but it would look a bit silly walking around with medals on their belts
