    Arrow Jäger Major's Shoulder Boards

Just wondering if these boards are from a Jäger Major.

    Thanks, Empereur.

Does anyone else have additional comments?

One person on the Wehrmacht-Awards forum states :
I'm not real excited about the button hole stitching on the tongue either, although the soutache braid looks right on.
Also the green is close to an official's color and not of a Jäger Major.
I have looked all over the internet for photos.

General in command of the Mountain Troops Emil Vogel has a similar set on:

Thoughts & Comments are welcome this has been bugging me for weeks.

Thanks for the comment. I agree 100% about there being a secondary colouring if they were used/issued for a adminstrative department.

Hopefully others can shed some more light on the shoulder boards.

One way or the other, the green is very dark and not the usual shade I'd associate with Jaeger.

They aren't Jager for sure. I have pairs of Jager, PzGdr and Gebirgs boards in the collection and the Jager and PzGdr boards are of a much lighter shades of green such as Lime Green and Grass Green. These to me look too dark to be Gebirgejager-but who can be so sure these days?

Hi Fred--on waf-that figures. I quit that site several years ago and I would be out both my minty pairs of Generals Collartabs as well as my Generalmajors Shoulderboards-had i listened to those experts. One guy I have to give credit to over there is a guy from Colorado who has hundreds of pairs of tabs and boards who actually came to my defense. I think he went by the name of Sarge. Anyway, he liked them and openly defended them.
