Hello, I've been collecting German militaria for about 5 years now(strange for a 21 year old female I know) , and this tunic that I have in my collection has always intrigued me; I got it at an auction and it was claimed that it came from a factory in Russia, all things seem to indicate a genuine article here, but if anyone can shed any light on what type of soldier would have worn this it would be great!

No, that is a very bad jacket, nothing similar to original, even the ugly traces of insignia.

thanks i wasn't really sure about it, i knew the buttons were definitely not original, but it does seem to be quite old and has what seems to be bloodstains on it. i thought perhaps it may have belonged to a POW at one time.
