    Agree with Ade, the first one is probably early and might be pre TR period, whilst the 2nd has the tress more usually seen during the TR period. Interestingly, the tress on the first one is used by the Luftwaffe during the TR period.

    In another forum some people confirmed me it's really a Reichswehr tresse pattern used too at Wermacht uniforms at it's early years, may be about mid 30's.

    Hello,
    You were told right...this Gefreiter chevron made of Dark Feldgrau wool was used in the Reichsheer and in the early years of the Wehrmacht Heer, circa 1934-35, before the adoption of the dark green cloth. This tresse was used in the Heer until 1935.
