Authentication help please?
This patch came as part of a larger group of pieces. While I was able to find reference to the rest of the pieces, I was not able to find reference to this one so don't know enough to know if this is authentic or not. The part that has me most perplexed is the tail. Any help out there?
Droop tail or older style Luftwaffe eagle. This example seems very odd to me - not one I have encountered. NH
Thank you for the reply Neil. I'm still learning about the different insignia, medals, badges, etc. of WWII Germany so every piece of information such as the tail helps me in the future as well as right now. Curious to see what others think as well.
Definitely a droop tail, (earlier), not sure about authenticity.
After a quick search, haven't been able to find another like this one.

I am not hopeful about this one. Looking like a 1970s repro. NH
I agree, it looks strange. I don't like it and would not buy it for my collection.

The way it's made doesn't seem right at all.
The tail, and the fact it doesn't have a head makes me think it is fake.
