Blue Luftwaffe belt buckle dated 1941 on the tab.
Just got this one. Are there earlier dated ones? This is before the flood of ground divisions. When were the blue ones issued to and to whom? Thanks, Doug

If your buckle is blue painted, it means that it's made of steel as aluminium ones were left bare metal...
Steel buckles were made from 1940. Blue painted buckle were general issue in the Wehrmacht Luftwaffe, and not meant for any troops in particular.
