    Default Breast Eagle? Cap eagle?

    Hi-

I was given this by a family member who bought it in the 1960's. I have no reason to believe it is not genuine, I just am not sure what it is. I am not sure if it is a breast eagle, cap eagle? etc.

    what do you think?

It is a gold Navy officer breast eagle.

Interesting pin arrangement that I haven't seen
before so I can't say as to it's being original or not.

Hi Kevin, welcome to the forum!

It is totally original, however on my monitor it looks silver, which if that is the case, it would make it Heer and not Kreigsmarine. For wear as a breast eagle on the white pre war summer tunic.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi, as has been said an original army/heer removable eagle for the white summer tunic. Looks to have an M in a diamond on the back, which is the makers mark, for J.C. Maedicke, Berlin.
Good original item, but not rare or very valuable, see them for 50-80.
