Thanks again Jerry. Last question.... maybe You wrote "no infantry in Africa". Is that to be taken literally? If so where do you have your info from. Not that i doubt you at all. Just curious.

    Jerry is correct.

No "Infantry" as such. The units were mechanised.

    Cheers, Ade.

Mostly of the top of my head from many years studying the DAK, but the best book for lists of units is Bender & Law Uniforms, organisation and history of the Afrikakorps R.James Bender publishing 1973 (first edition).

90th light div had 155th & 200th inf regiments (mot).
344th inf div had 754th & 755th inf regiments (mot).
Div Von Broich later Von Manteuffel had fj regiment (mot) Barenthin which had 2 infantry battalions.

So no infantry as such in Africa. I think the mot infantry regiments listed above would be classed as shutzen or gren untis and would not wear white piping and the Luftwaffe infantry would not count as they are paras and would wear yellow, though HG div had troops in Africa and they might wear white, but again don't count I think.

And as they have puttees and bergshue they are from a gebirgsjager unit so probably light green.
