    Lars,
The M43 that you've shown would not have been used in North Africa. Some were used in Tunisia but not many as 1st and 2nd patterns were still being issued to troops. The eagle on this tunic is definitely a replacement. You can see that it has been sewn to a tunic, removed then resewn.
The officers tunic is quite a nice lightweight tunic used during the summer in Europe, not North Africa. This could very well have belonged to an officer from Grendier Regiment 104 of 47 Infanterie-Division with no relation whatsoever to Schutzen Regiment (later PzGren Regt) 104. I actually believe that this is more likely.

Mark is probably correct about the officers tunic as I did wonder when it was posted, but it was stated as being from Africa so I looked up the number without being too critical. It is very rare, if ever, to see these in Africa though you do see them in the other med areas such as Italy etc.
