    For the HEER
Eastern front, Africa, EK2 KVK2 ribbon are suppose to be in second button hole. EK2 first, then KVK, then Eastern front (or Africa) however KVK ribbon can be under Eastern front ribbon.
EK1 Is in middle of the upper left breast pocket. Infanterie Sturmabzeichen would be to the right of the EK1. IF lack of the EK1, the Infanterie Sturmabzeichen would in the middle or the GAB (Generle Strumabzeichen) (same for Panzerkampf Abzeichen).
KVK1 same thing as the EK1. Should be above all awards. on that pocket.
Wound badge (verwundetabzeichen) is suppose to be lower than all over awards

close combat clasp (Nahkampfspange) Is above the left upper breast pocket.

DIKG or DIKS would be on right center pocket.

Campaign Shields Left arm above rank patch (if there is one)
    Knights cross around the neck

If the EK1 and KVK1 were awarded, the EK1 would be worn above the KVK1.

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Good info guys, but how about kriegsabzeichen? Would they be worn where in the same fashion as the IAB, GAB, and PAB?

Kriegsabzeichen are the combat badges such as the Infanterie Sturmabzeichen, Panzerkampf Abzeichen, and Allegemeines Sturmabzeichen. So, looking at the photo above you can see the location of the EK1, KVK1, Kriegsabzeichen (in this case an Infanteriesturmabzeichen) and Verwundetenabzeichen.

    Thanks cats...very helpful.

if you had the EK1 and the KVK1 and you wore them like that, one above the other...what would happen if the tunic was a police tunic with the SS runes stitched below the pocket?

My guess would be that you close them up a bit to fit them on or move the KVK1 to one side slightly if there was no other badge in the way.
