I have never seen a printed version like that but look period..
I did see a printed version like this one on the Whammond website (The Collector's Guild). I think you should go have look, because I see some differences in the Gothic lettering.

Germans liked armbands !!
The best Militaria forum in France is here : http://deutsch-militaria.forumactif.us/
I have been comparing a lot of the armbands shown on line. The script is very different from the one I am looking at. But then I came across this one which is the same but the stamp i the upper right hand corner is in a different place.
What do you think?
This picture and example is from tcsmilitaria.com

This is an interesting armband William,
both the one that you have that started the thread plus the other similar one that you found on the web.
When enlarging the stamp on both of them they have the wording eisenbahn betriebsdirektion Lille.
I know that Lille was one of the main railway junctions near the French/Belgium border so perhaps your armband is a locally produced piece?
It looks period.
It may be better posting it in the non combat uniforms section
All the best

Interesting armband from post 1.
Maybe they named it Eisenbahn in a foreign country as
it was not "Reichs". If okay, the stamp would tell us the
armband could have been worn by a member from the
Deutsche Reichsbahn or someone assisting. Just a guess!
Maybe Lille belonged to the Wehrmacht-Verkehrsdirektion
from Paris?
The armband has been purchased but it is not yet in my possession. I will not be able to post pictures until early Feb. but will do then. Many thanks to everyone for their input into this post. I always greatly enjoy hearing people's wisdom and knowledge.
Much Appreciated,
William
