Early Breast eagle

I picked this one up on eBay and I think it's ok but would appreciate your opinions!
I think it's the last issued breast eagle woven using white thread before hostilities began in 1939 where the thread was changed to a light grey so that it didn't stand out, but I'm please correct me if I'm wrong.

Not quite correct, it is a first pattern white on grey m34, which was followed by a white on green -2nd pattern-m36 which was followed in 39 by the third pattern m39, grey on green, then in 40 by the grey on field grey 4th pattern m40, then in 44 the grey on field grey trap version, 5th pattern m44.

Probably, but the back shows enough to see that it is an original first pattern Harry.
