Hi Al, looks fine. Worn by Heer Gebirgsjäger on the Mountain cap.
The post war Bundesheer ones are slightly different in design: the end of the stem ends in a bend. (While the stem on the wartime ones are straight.) I have illustrated this with a pic found online. Different number of sewing holes too. Wartime ones have 5 holes.

Hi Al, there are certainly makers variations on these, as we can seen here already. I have seen some maker marked "GB" before.

I saw some BW edelweissen sold as WW2 period, what is absolutely wrong of course. But the collector should know things like that.
