Edelweiss pin

Guys picked this pin up over the weekend it looks like a WWII pin to me can anybody tell me if it is . thanks for looking guys . Gary

I can't comment on the approximate period it is from, but it's just a generic decorative/souvenir pin with no military, para-military or political connection.

(It has no resemblance to any of the different designs of Edelweiß cap badges worn by the Heer, SA, NSKK, RAD etc.)
