Well, it is not Heer and has nothing to do with WW2.
It is a M56 helmet from the DDR and it is an early or first model, as you can see from the date in the stamps and the rivets on the helmet.I have one just like yours.
Later model M56 helmets had a completely different inside (liner etc.).
Very nice helmet if you are interested in the DDR period.
