Agree with Ade, a nice original piece.
Thanks guys great help as always .
I found a RZM marked gordet the same type in similar condition being offered for $550 in a local shop,
At that price would you agree it's a good deal?
Thanks bob , at first glance it looked like the RZM marking on one of my replica buckles.
I better give him the bad news!
Only markings found on the tang of genuine Feldgendarmerie gorgets are manufacturers marks such as Juncker, the Assmann "A" etc. As already stated RZM marks are never found on original pieces, also avoid any with "D.R.G.M." stamps as often seen on fakes during the 70s, and "Fl.U.V." with the Luft eagle found on current fakes of the Luftwaffe Feldgendarmerie gorget. Anything other than a makers mark is fantasy.
