Field Police Gorget

Hello guys i maybe want to buy this police gorget but i need some opinions about the back, its made of cardboard.
I know the later models had this type of backing.This gorget don't have a makers stamp.

I agree Glenn. I'm definitely no expert on these, but I can't see any major issues

Given that these would have got wet often directing traffic etc... I reckon felt would have been more problematic - and this card better.
I too have seen differing opinions but as I can't afford one it matters no never mind to me .....

Card backing is every bit as common, if not more common, than cloth on original Feldgendarmerie Gorgets. Nothing wrong with this Gorget. I think just about every fake I have seen has had a cloth backing. Never seen a convincing fake yet with card backing - a lot more work would be involved in creating a pressed card backing for a fake than simply cutting a piece of cloth.
