Hello all,
I saw a few pics on ebay.de of a unit that were wearing WH Stug jackets and FJ helmets. Any ideas what this would be all about?
Cheers.

Perhaps it was pictures of the Hermann Goering panzer division?

You have probably seen photos of Sturmgeschutz Brigade 276 , they are known to have used FSJ helmets at the order of their commander who obtained a supply for the unit , they preffered to wear them within the fighting compartment as they were easier to wear that a normal steel helmet !!

Thanks very much for the info!
Did you happen to save the photos? If you did could you please share them? Thanks,
Richard
I can see the advantages of using an FJ helmet in a tank or a StuG.
The photo of Stug Brigade 276 was taken on 12/8/1944 and features a Sturmhaubitze and crew of the Brigade wearing the FSJ helmets , it can be found in the book Knight Gunner the Memoirs of RKT Alfred Regeniter !!
