Gebirg Tunic Litzen

Article about: Why are these Litzen gray? Am i correct in assuming it's for Propaganda/Kriegsberichter? Thanks for helping out Regards, Lars

    Hello Lars,

    The first pattern third reich Heer tabs are a light grey color with a dark green center stripe(lighter green for earlier manufacture) with a colored branch of service stripe above and below. In 1939 the second style appeared and it had all three stripes a dark green color on a light grey background. I 1940 the third pattern appeared with the change of facing colors from dark green to field grey. Alot of people call the grey on field grey subdued eagle the M43 eagle. It actually arrived in 1940!! I hope this helps.
