Hello!

This is my first time on this forum, and I have a question...

I bought this pin at a gun show the other week from a pretty reputable dealer. He had tons of other WWII stuff there... but is it real? It doesn't look like most of the other hat badges I've seen.

I may be wrong, but I have a suspicion that this is a postwar Bundeswehr Edelweiss, judging by the metal used and the reverse pin...I am only familiar with the Edelweiss that is supposed to be sewn onto the cap...Perhaps someone more knowledgeable will come along with more information...Welcome to the Forum, friend...
