German motorcycle jacket?

What is this?

It does has German elements, but it isn't what I reconize as a typical wartime German Kradmelders jacket.
The length doesn't tell us anything, as it could have been shortened at any stage after the war (as many military over-coats got dyed, shortend, altered etc). The material of the jacket here doesn't strike me as being war-time German, but it might as well be post-war NVA/DDR, the fashion of the jacket does have what I would call typical German facets like the buttons, the snit and the loops for the shoulder boards.
Are there any stamps or markings in the jacket or on the back of the buttons that would help indentify the age and origin of it?
