German Naval Coat
Hey folks, picked this up locally and was hoping to find out more info on it. I am not overly familiar with uniforms so any help is appreciated. There was a small tag inside. The back of the buttons had an early eagle stamp and the number 20 and letter M. I couldn't find much in standard searches. Thanks for any input.
Any ideas?
Never saw a navy cut tunic in this fashion. Not much help I know.
Yes that's what sort of confusing me. Aspects of it seem good but then again is very odd
I am assuming this was a private purchase from an officer.
Almost thinking it is pre war, the collar somehow is making me think WW1 navy with the addition of eagle. Just a guess.
I was thinking that as well. Who knows. Still a fun local find as we don't have much here to scavenge
Perhaps for a uboat?
Odd to see a tailor label on such a garment. I mean I am not even liking the boards on this. Don't know, wish I could help.
