Hi Chris, almost impossible to say when the repair was done. It is really anyone's guess.

Hi again, i'm posting some more pics of the tunic.
It seems that it has some issues that seller didn't mention. The bullion of the right collar tab is broken and a wise guy painted the inner carton with silver paint. You can't see it from pics unless they are really close ups.
Secondly both shoulder boards are repaired and badly resawn and the third is very weird. The piping of the boards is gray. When i saw the photos provided by the seller, i thought that the piping was an infantry cream color, which due to dirt became a bit darker. Furthermore, since i had the tunic dry cleaned today, coz it stinked, the real color of the piping appears to be gray. Which branch of the Wehrmacht had a gray piping? If there was such thing of course

    Hello,
The grey Waffenfarbe was created in 1943 for the Propaganda-Kompanien.
Those shoulderboards are far more interesting than infantry ones.
    Thanks

Good morning Philip, that's interesting indeed. Never heard of that before. In this case should the collar tabs have grey thread as well or are they normal this way?
