I'm curious to know why it has a manufacturer's name and an RB number. NH
    Hello,
Neil : This Feldbluse bears both markings just because the manufacturer kept on using his name even with the RBNr....as simple as that, it's called manufacturers' inertia...some of them were prompt to apply changes, some were slow, some were very slow and some never understood anything...like in the case here...
It's not the first time that i see such a thing...

Obal : i cant make it out either but it's not the town where it was made, actually it's the military depot that accepted it and ink stamped the town and year, example M43 for München 1943.
    Thanks

Being that this is a transitional period I can see how the stamps might both be present. NH

    Hello,
IMO there's no transitional period involved here as the breast pockets are sewn thru the lining which indicates that this Feldlbuse is a very late production...I could be wrong of course, but as i said i have already seen things like that, Feldblusen with both types of markings, Y-straps and rucksacks...
    Thanks
