Apparently these are being reproduced in Pakistan. Not near high enough quality embroidery.

Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
To hand embroider such items would take about 3-4 weeks each.. Not a simple task and the amount of these would have taken an army of their own IMO..G

If the shown one is okay, I cannot tell for 100%, but the question in post 1 was:
if these were ever made by hand?
Often it is said just only woven did exist, but that is not correct.
I do have a price-list for army insignia with on page 8 article-number 1594:
Fahnenträger (Dienst), which was woven and Fahnenträger (extra), which was
hand-embroidered (handgestickter Kunstseide). The last one was quite expensive:
12,- Rm in contrary to the woven version 1,40 Rm.
The price-list was number 112 from November 1937 from J.F. Riedeler K.G.
from Heilbronn.
The shown one anyway is not from Kunstseide.
