    This attached foto is of GeneralMajor Helmuth Bachelin - or so it says on the back of the foto. Has anybody ever heard of him? I guess he was NOT a RKT, although he came close. Any info would be appreciated. I am especially interested in what unit(s) he commanded, and his DOB & DOD.

    01/10/37 : Major
    01/12/40 : Oberstleutnant
    01/07/42 : Oberst with retroactive effect on 01/03/42
    01/10/44 : Generalmajor: (golden German Cross 05/04/43, warrant officer of 9. ID (01/05/37-04/06/40)
    04/06/40-20/06/40 in reserve of O.K.H ., then commander of an infantry battalion (20/06/40-11/10/40)
    11/10/40-02/02/42 in reserve of O.K.H ., then commander of 36. Infanterieregiment (02/02/42-05/09/42)
    05/09/42-15/11/42 in reserve of O.K.H
    15/11/42-14/02/44 serves in O.K.H
    14/02/44-03/04/44 in reserve of O.K.H ., then leader of the head office of the O.K.H. (Chef der Zentralabteilung) III) (03/04/44-12/10/44).
    He is captured by american troops
    Released from captivity on the 16th of April 1947, he retires.
