It's not a pattern of genuine eagle I am familiar with.
Red waffenfarbe is Artillery I think but the uniform chaps will know
Cheers
Doug
The adler is a fake and has been hand sewn to the tunic.
This replica adler style came out in the early 70s.
Thank you, I suspected
Hello,
I have never seen this pattern of eagle before, real or fake, but by the construction I do not like it. The collar tabs are for armored personnel and appear to be reproduction and the shoulder boards are for the 3rd artillery regiment. The boards look original.
Fred
Thank you,
Eagle I did not like when I bought a jacket.
Seller said: original.

Hello,
Pleased post a close up shot of the collar tabs if you can. These look like the light grey colored one sold by Manion's auction house in the late 80's- early 90's.
Fred
Hello,
The tabs appear to have been colored in to me!! Even with the bad pictures , I do not like the collar tabs. The shoulder boards seem suspect to me now too, They appear to be early embroidered boards piped in rayon, basket weave piping. Although not unheard of, very scarce. Some pictures of the shoulder boards(front, back and open) would help. There are a lot of red flags on this uniforms insignia.
