rather than a fake, i think that this example might be a movie prop or a reenactor item...not sure this one was made to deceive collectors, perhaps it has been made to enjoy moviegoers or reenactors

I would say that it is a Waffen SS tunic with Heer badges. Note the stone grey and black colouring, and also the slightly wider collar?
I would say it's a replica SS tunic that someone has decided would look good with Heer badges.
It is easily identifiable a a replica too because
A: It would have original SS badge imprints on the collar and left arm
B: The quality is too high. The white stitching would be duller and the wool would more than likely starting to fade and come apart.

I personally would still buy it, but I wouldn't use it for reenactment.

OR (My bad), It could be a Heer dress uniform that has been modified for field use, though I honestly think it looks too SS-like.
