As for the first one: Metal wreaths were worn both by officers and enlisted men. High-quality hand embroidered wreaths were a permitted option for private-purchase caps and could be worn by officers on all occasions, but by enlisted men only for walking out when off-duty.
The second item is from the KyffhÀuserbund, yes.
