Help! Identifying uniform and rank etc

Managed to find some more pre war pictures of him.
And with some awards! Look like a cross of some sort and a DRA sports badge (I think).

There was a note written down with the early pictures - Vater soldat 1922 - 1935

The second picture is definitely showing the vierdaagse Cross, also known as the Nijmegen marches, I believe, I can show one later if anyone is interested.

I’m hoping you can help, I’m trying to get this picture colourised but I need to know what colour this ribbon is??

It doesn’t look like the yellow/green of the vierdaagse cross?

For anyone interested,

I’m currently in Germany helping my Oma, she revealed the fate of her fathers medal, uniform etc.

Unfortunately it was all lost to a bomb hitting the house they lived in, even telling me how she remembers his battered officers riding breaches lying in the road afterwards, later he used the leather parts to make two pairs of shoes for her and her Mum.

Sad but interesting. I’ll never see the March medal he won.
