Would appreciate help in readind a name tag that is in a Artillerie Waffenrock.
The rank is oberfeldwebel I guess...The nametag was hiden in an inside pocket on the tunic.Even the seller had not mention its position, probably he hadn't check the tunic thouroughly as I always do when I buy one, anyway I cant read those calligraphick lettering...thanks

Also I just got the waffenrock book by T.J.Curley and N.stewart...Good God the book is like the BIBLE to me! Handtool! Those guys did a terrific job. I cant wait Christmas vacation to get on it.

Well, it is dated August 31 1938. Schneiderei means tailor. Guess you are looking for a read on the handwriting. It is a bit fuzzy for me to read. Looks nice! NH

I guess that none of you guys is German, right? Anyway I asked a well known militaria seller in Germany and he thinks is Fehring Walter so in the absence of any other substancial info I take First name Walter as its first! Thank you all very much.
