    Hi people,

Just getting into war time relics and have found a 90cmx170cm Kriegs flag of 1944 origins (Geman edition).

I would like to know what is an average price for a mint condition one, without mothing and any soiling.

It is the usual rope ties flag, with iron cros in the corner etc.

I just need to know a resonable price for a flag in great condition, and if flags are any good as an investment....and what to be aware of.

Any help is greatly appreciated guys

    Cheers

    Jason from Australia.

    Hi Jason

I think that's 3 foot by about 5 and a bit? Sorry I work off old money
Has it got the KM stamps? is it maker marked? any sewn tags? any provenance?
All this will will make an impact on the price.

They are collectable, but there are a lot out there, as a ball park retail price you're probably looking at around 250-300 UK£

The smaller ones command more money, as they are easier to display. You can pick up a ships one for £200, but all you can use it for is a bed spread

    Thanks for your help there.

The marks I see are " Neme Augsburger Kathunfabric then underneath that Ausburg.

I cant say it has a tag or a history per say.

    Also what are Km stamps

    Cheers

Hi Jason, and welcome to the forum!

I would agree with John's comments.

Here is a KM (Kreigsmarine/Navy) marking, an eagle with an M, from a flag out of my collection.

    Cheers, Ade.
