    Default ID cuff insignia

    Hi
One of my friends has a problem with this cuff insignia. Do you know what formation used to wear these (this pattern) ?
    P.S. (dimension 55 mm x 45 mm)
    Thanks in advance

Look again at the size quoted: it is too small. Also the backing cloth should be a complete triangle and not cut around the stripes.

    Cheers, Ade.

ade just re read your post the NVA did wear the cheverons but not all and in fact very few did (barracks police, air and land defence and a few others)

however these were more of sloped v see attachment (aslos bear in mind the backing was different colours depending on the organistaion) the one shown is for the defence forcesName: ALC1.jpg

Hi Tom, actually that is a Long Service chevron, not a rank insignia.

Armwinkel für Soldaten und Unteroffiziere auf Zeit

    Cheers, Ade.

as to the chevron at the start i think it might be a repro thats been cut down by someone as the edges looks all frayed like its been cut
