Hi, no:1 is an aircraft pilot badge, no:2 is the national sport badge, no:3 is a wound badge ( can't determine from the photo it's colour, could be black, silver or gold).
I agree with the guys, to me the WB looks black

The photo is of a physically fit German pilot who was injured at some point.

Is that where they typically wore their medals? I would think it would have been positioned higher on the chest, but I have only seen mainly American uniforms.

Yes, this is how awards were worn.
I've always thought it funny, they seem so low - at the stomach !
Iron Crosses and badges such as these look so much better
on tunics with pockets, because they sit a bit higher......!
