Hi, the last two you have shown have excess warp thread above the fold line, not weave as was on the two I highlighted. Look at them again and see if you can spot the difference?

Thanks for highlighting what you meant, Jerry. CLICK!! Now I too understand what you are saying. So any badge with the stitching above as you indicated would be bad, yes? Only straight(ish) lines above. Gotcha!

Here is a detail shot, hopefully showing clearly the difference between a real eagle, with excess warp threads and a fake eagle with extra weave threads. The bigger eagle has excess warp threads, but the fake has excess weave, which usually looks like little stepped triangles, but these are not supposed to be above the foldline.
