Kriegsmarine Adler for review!

I just received this breast eagle in the mail. It seems good to me, but a buddy raised some concern on the bottom most leg of the of the swastika. What do you fine folks think?



Pics were taken in my dimly lit room. Better pics can be snapped tomorrow in natural light.

Hi Joe, not keen on it either.

I would return it.

Mesh reinforcement backing to badges are not usually a good sign. I don't like the material or shape.

Got to admit, I looked at this one late last night and fell asleep on the sofa before I could comment, I think you might find that the backing is a nylon type material, try the burn test, but either way its far removed from the norm, as for the swastika, to me that looks fairly ok and isnt what the ID should be based on

Hi Nick,

I believe I am to blame... I snapped the photo in my dimly lit bedroom late last night. I believe the flash on my camera washed out the adler. I will snap better pictures today in natural light.

I should also mention that the adler passed the black light test.

Any additional comments based on the Collector's Guild listing would be greatly appreciated! I'd like to know ASAP just in case I have to return it!
