    Default Leather Pilot Jacket

Hi, I need help... Anybody can tell me if this jacket is authentic? It's a different style as most that were worn by pilots, but since they mostly got the jackets made (no official issue ones); it sure looks authentic. Apparently it was worn by a Stuka pilot. The badges are not necessarily original, they are for illustration only...

Looks like a very nice jacket, but I can't comment on it's originality. Could even be
a 'biker' jacket with added insignia. 'Eastman Leather Clothing' makes one
    similar to this.........
    Regards,

    Steve.

As stated, these were not issue but private purchase items so there were many different designs used. The important parts to study are where the insignia sits: check for wear (or lack of) where the insignia and badges are placed and the loops.

    Cheers, Ade.

Info on the Zipp zipper here.

    Forum Intro

They did make zippers in the period but the one on the thread starter does not appear to match pre war or war time examples.

Nice piccies Steve, but none of them appear to match the thread starter, which is almost certainly a post war bikers jacket as you posted in your previous post.
