Hopefully I have worked out the picture upload facility and have got the right size. As requested I have uploaded a few pictures of the items I am attempting to identify and catalogue. I hope they are acceptable.

A mixture of good and bad I would say.
    What do you need identifying?
The collar patches with the gulls are most certainly put together. The HJ armband I would like to see closer pictures, and the "Afrika" cuff. It's nigh on impossible to tell from distance pictures.

could you show the back of the "Croatia" patch.
The technical specialist badge (with the gold border & swastika under) is for Sound location operator and it looks a good one to me
I think the second one is for Flying technical personnel, but the proportions look wrong, so i can't say for sure.
Is it the angle of the photo on the cloth para badge that is making it look out of proportion? no comment on that one yet.

Observers badge looks ok. Although detail is a bit lacking.
And finally the Krim shield...............Again, straight on pictures are needed, but to give you some idea on what to look for....compare
The one with front and back is a "Floch" copy

Hi, I agree with John. Instead of trying to put everything into one post, rather post one item per thread and supply clear photos of back and front taken straight on. You will get a better idea of your badges authenticity that way. The technical personnel & sound location badges look OK to me. I cannot see the ridge in the eagle's feather on the shield, so I think that is possibly a fake.

To give an idea of how difficult it is to judge pieces for authenticity.....

Here are 2 Krim shields, but one of them is fake......................

    Which one?

Thank for the responses, and the advice. I will post individual pictures as you suggest. With so many items - 200 plus - it could take some time. All the items I have were brought back from Germany by my father following the Second World War. They then spent the next 40 years in his mothers attic until we re discovered them in the early 80's on her death. With my father being a career officer the family travelled frequently and without unneccesary luggage - which probably accounts for the survival of the collection in it's current excellent condition.

As for the current photographs, they were all taken on a slight angle as I was trying to avoid casting a shadow. I will try and improve.

I have taken further photographs which I attach. As suggested future items will be individullay listed for ease. Many thanks for the help. I have a lot to learn not least about the way this forum works.

Thank you for your help on this. That identifies two of the items for a start. Only several hundred to go. The Shield has smaller secondary ridges on the wings, albeit that they do not show up to well in the photograph I have taken. I am not the most proficient photographer. They are obvious when viewed from the top of the shield but not so obvious the other way around. I will take a further picture. Given that these items have been in the possession of my familly since 1945 I am more concerned with identifying the items than anything else; but any input will be most gratefully received.
