bob, thanks for the info. i like the look of the hat.will look at it again next week. see if the bias is present or not. and look at some orginal examples . So you think this one stands a good chance of being orginal. and 1 other question. whats an average price in your opinion on the m43 in this cond. thanks for your help. Regards Deadeye

I can see no problems with the cap that you initially posted Deadeye, I believe it to be a good period done cap, and the price you quoted is in the ball park too.

I have previously owned one by the same maker with the same insignia set up, and it got the thumbs up. The thing I noticed about Luftwaffe M43's by this maker is that there are a lot of originals floating around in mint condition. Maybe a late war stock pile discovery?

Not all are mint, but I agree with 'NineLives', there are a lot of mint or near mint examples by this maker about.

Here is a nicely faded and worn example that has that classic "been there" look, by the same maker....
