    It is fine. Just check the buttons are originally sewn.

    Hello,
    That's a nice Luftwaffe Mantel
    The buttons might have been replaced, perhaps Adrian is right....but the sew-in shoulderstraps lead me to believe that this greatcoat was maybe part of the walking-out dress, hence the silver buttons in order to show off a bit more...(but maybe i'm wrong of course...)

    Based upon the photos, I feel that the shoulder straps are most likely post war added... can you please add some closeup photos of the shoulder seams, where the shoulder straps are sewn in?
