This jacket has not hints to maker aside from the number "2" stenciled on the cotton lining near top shoulder. The snaps and Shoulder say "PRYM" and the number "6". From what I have read they are authentic and not repros. I am assuming this coat is WWII. Is it military or police? The buttons are quite fancy for an officers coat. They are gold colored and shiny. Not drab, matte finish like most. The color of the leather is olive green and not brown as the photos may show. The coat in such EXCELLENT condition I have a hard time believing it may pushing 70 years old!

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

Sadly the jacket is not WW2 nor is it German.

I think you will find it is Dutch or Belgian? Note the rampant Lion buttons.

The makers label giving all the details has been removed.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hi Adrian,

Thanks for the kind response. OK. I am embarrassed now. Can you tell I am a newbie?

After posting to other boards they have confirmed what you have said. My assumption now is that it IS dutch and perhaps from the 60's or 70's.

    Have a great day!
    Pete

Can anybody help me identify this jacket? Zippers read "Ritsch" (in quotes) and "orig. Ritsch" (no quotes.)

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Sorry, not a military issue jacket.

    Cheers, Ade.
