IMHO the lanyard is not Kriegsmarine. Too much knots for a KM. Should be 12-14 knots, exceptional up to 17. This one has 20+, therefore most probably GDR.
Also it is not complete as the gold attachement is missing

Seems to be alot of debate of recent going on about the number of knots in these. I did not count the number in the one shown, but it Does have an abnormally large number to it. Personally, I would likely return it, as it will be an endless source of discomfort.
