I'd say most likely a H.J armband that's "crunched up". Pure speculation on my part, but I don't see any other explanations as of now. It's possible even a homemade variant as well, image isn't clear or close enough to be certain.

I just don't see boarder bands my self. only the shadow under the edge of the band. but an HJ band is red with a narrow white stripe and a smaller swaz in a diamond.

this one just isn't HJ in my eyes. I noticed on that thread, a couple of pictures down. 2 hj members posing for the pic. I noticed the 2 armbands worn are slightly different in the thickness of the swaz. the one on the right looks like a fatter swaz than the one on the left. but that's off topic.
