Panzer Collar Tab Totenkopf - Clutchback?

Article about: Hi All, Was hoping to hear opinions on this Panzer skull. It was included with group of US items spanning pre-WWI through WWII. It was essentially a throw in with the other items, so no loss

I can assure you this is not only not a cast copy, it is a fake. Some came with round pins but they look nothing like this one really. The high eyebrows as mentioned is the real difference. The nose hole is another.
Here are a couple of mine. One set with round pins and another with flat pins.

The rest of the items look okey, but where and how this crude cast fake got into the pile is anyone's guess! We may never know! lol

Thanks again, gentlemen! Consensus is this is a reproduction. No worries there. Have it displayed with my other German insignia, and looks good from a distance.

The early US medals are the real gems in the group of items; I was hoping the Panzer pin would be an added surprise.

    I appreciate everyone's feedback!

There were early examples that appear similar to the original one posted but, again, they are not the same. They do contain the higher eyebrows but not so emphasized as the original one posted.

Thanks, Ralph. I did see these on the Collector's Guild, also with the high brows, but agree, different construction.
