    WWII german Navy Patch just google you will find it. Gary

    It's from the series of combined specialty- and rating badges worn by Junior Petty Officers. This one, specifically, identifies an Obermaschinenmaat.
    (A Maschinenmaat wore the same anchor-and-cogwheel device without the chevron below.)
