I am curious and want to see some types of uniform repairs from the war. Anything from the tiniest shrapnel hole to an elbow patch! Perhaps even some restoration pictures, if you have them?

The sacrifice of life is a huge sacrifice, there is only one that is more terrible, the sacrifice of honor

Thanks Jphillip! That's an excellent photo! Since they're "mounted" I can only guess what befell him to cause him to need the knee patches . I'm also very pleased to see that my bicycle is so similar to the German wartime ones. I have a blue '79(?) Rawleigh. I suppose they are only stylistically similar, but it's close enough to make me smile!
Here is a pic of my pants which belongs to a 3rd Modell DAK Tunic
This pants has exact the same repair
It looks like a postwar farmers used tunic

Hey Ostmark, Thanks for sharing! Those look almost like a fresh pair of pants besides the knee patch!
Historyisme, Wow! No kidding. That's like the "extreme makeover" version of a repair. It looks like something outta "Mad Max".
Surely no-one will buy that thing! It's not even good enough to be a rag!
