Reproduction coat?

Hi guys,

I am thinking this is a repro M36 greatcoat battered around in reenactment or something (the construction doesn't look quite right to me) but just wanted to double check with the learned forum members:

Not a repro, but still post-war:

This is an old uniform coat of the Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS) stripped of insignia.

Notice how traces of the sleeve shield with the federal eagle and the rounded "BUNDESGRENZSCHUTZ" title above it are clearly visible.

Ahhh, BGS, very nice...I didn't realise how close the early post-war BGS stuff looked to the war time equivalents - I've only ever seen the 60s style BGS overcoats which look different. Thanks for the swift reply!
